Begin your tour
at the etched glass entry...

Proceed down the hall to the sunken Living Room
...just one step down.

Here is a better view into the back garden.
Notice the ocean view over the fence.

Turn to your left to find the couch/day bed,
TV and refreshment center.

To your right is the breakfast nook. Through the windows is the back deck and to the left, you can see your private path to the beach. ...and here's the kitchen with microwave, toaster oven, answering machine, full size kitchen fridge, cook top, coffee maker & utensil, dish and pan storage. The bedroom door can be seen just beyond the counter on the left. Entrance to the vanity/bath and laundry are at the end of the hall.
Continue through the kitchen and turn left into the bedroom.
Here you'll find tropical motif furniture, queen size bed and office nook with a view.

Turn right through a small hall, pass the dressing nook and you'll find yourself in the newly remodeled bath
with large walk in shower, toilet, vanity and stacked laundry.

Behind the vanity is the door leading back to the kitchen.

Hey...would you like to go to the beach?
...Just go through the kitchen, step down into the living room and open the sliding door to the deck.

Now that your on the deck,
take a better look at that ocean view over the fence.
Now lets go to the beach.
But first turn back to look at your back deck
(called lanai in Hawaiian)
with table, chairs and BBQ grill.
This is your private path to the beach. It is separated from the neighbors by a tall fence and local shrubbery. That bench and chairs are shared with us (We live in the front house). The bench changes to a table by moving the back forward. Feel free to use them... just return to the grassy area afterwards. High tide could wash them away.
Beach view to the left. Beach view to the right.
Aliomanu Bay is a lagoon formed by an outer reef which protects the beach from the higher deep water waves, making the waters inside the reef pleasantly calm. Though all beaches in Hawaii are public, Aliomanu Beach is surprisingly uncrowded.

Hope you enjoyed your tour...
Please come and visit us.
We'd love to share our ALOHA and our beautiful island with you.

There we are around 2 o'clock on the east side. Beautiful sunrises, country quiet without the crowds of Poipu. Easy access to the amenities in Princeville, Kilauea and Kapaa.

For those who prefer a view from space...

From Google Earth, here is a view of our little corner of the island of Kauai. We are located in a quiet country setting, former pineapple fields, and now home to a few souls who prefer the quiet relaxed nature of the countryside.

Note the waves breaking on an outer coral reef providing lagoon like calm of the inner swimming area around Aliomanu Beach. There is a cross current heading south, so swim north and relax as the current brings you home. Reef shoes are always suggested and, of course, caution before swimming through the cut into the deeper ocean. South of the reef is Anahola Beach Park where larger waves attract local surfers.

Our little town of Anahola, which is a healthy walk of about 20 minutes, boasts a couple of local eateries, a general store and post office.
